In 2017, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Eta Delta Omega Chapter invested in the future education of ASCEND students by awarding $1000 scholarships to four graduating seniors. The remaining students were each awarded $100 gift cards. Our four 2017 graduating seniors are enrolled at Texas Tech University, St. Cloud University in Minnesota, University of Texas @ Austin and Texas A&M University!
In the following year, four graduating seniors were awarded $2000 each, while the remaining students received $100 gift cards along with their parents.
